- What happens to my contract?
- Your upload is processed in memory and never written to disk. The extracted text and your results are kept for 24 hours so you can reopen the review, then auto-delete. Your document goes to exactly one AI provider, Anthropic, which states in its API terms that it does not train on API submissions. There is no second provider: we removed the emergency fallback in August 2026 because its own policy said it trains on submitted data and stores it in China. If Anthropic is down your review fails and you are not charged, rather than being quietly handled somewhere else.
- What counts as a review?
- One document, analyzed once. Opening a review you already ran does not count again. Your first review needs no signup at all, and adding an email raises that to 3 a month on a rolling thirty-day window. The pass covers up to 10 reviews in its 7 days, and the annual plan covers 50 across its 12 months.
- Does it work on contracts in other languages?
- Yes, and you choose which language the answer comes back in. By default the analysis is written in the contract's own language, so a Spanish lease is explained in Spanish. If you have been handed a contract in a language you do not read well, that default is the wrong one for you: set "Explain in" above the upload box to your language, and the explanations, the risks and the advice all come back in it. Quoted clauses always stay exactly as written in your document, untranslated, because a translated quote is one you cannot find in the paper in front of you. Replacement wording you would propose stays in the contract's language too, for the same reason: it has to be usable.
- Does it know the law where I am?
- For some places, and it always tells you which one it used. We carry sourced legal context for England and Wales, Ontario, British Columbia, Australia, and seven US states: California, New York, Texas, Georgia, Minnesota, Washington and Massachusetts. Every rule in those carries a citation to the statute or official source it came from and the date it was checked. Everywhere else the review runs without local rules rather than guessing at them, which means it still reads your contract, quotes it, and flags what is one-sided, but it will not tell you a clause is unenforceable somewhere we have not verified that. It also reads the governing-law clause in your own contract and follows it, which is often not where you live, and you can override that in one click.
- Is this a subscription?
- No. The pass and the annual plan are single charges: you pay once, the reviews are there for 7 days or 12 months, and nothing renews on its own. There is no card on file quietly billing you next year, and nothing to remember to cancel. If you want more when it ends, you buy it again on purpose.
